Windows: Printer Setup
Adding a new printer: (Please only add a new printer for Cloud Based Printing the way listed below)
- Cloud-Based Black/White printers: acadafflaser, advancelaser, atlaser, faclaser2, preslaser, ssclaser
- Cloud-Based Color printers: medialabcolor
- In the search bar at the bottom of your screen, type 'Printers' then hit enter
- At the top of the page, click on ADD DEVICE

- Where it says, 'Show printers and scanners associated with my', click the drop down box, and choose 'Work or School'

- After choosing "Work or School" on the next line down, click on "SELECT A SEARCH LOCATION" shown highlighted below.

- A new list of printers will show up and they will have a blue cloud on top of them. Next to the printer you want to install, Select ADD DEVICE

- Please note the new blue cloud symbol on your printer and the label 'Cloud Printer'. That's it!
Adding a new printer: (Please only add a new printer the way listed below if you can't install a cloud based printer)
- Go to File Explorer (Yellow Folder)
- Go to the address bar, it says 'Quick Access' with an arrow preceding and following
- Type in \\t7\
- If prompted, type in your Thomas credentials (usually your Last name, first initial @thomas.edu, Make sure you type in @thomas.edu or it will not work) - Choose 'Remember Credentials'
- Scroll to the printer you want to add (e.g. stulaserlib)
- Double-click
- Wait for the installation page to close and open up another box in the left-hand corner of the screen
- Close the screen and File Explorer
- Try printing your document
- If you are asked about Duplex Printing, please check the box (to print on both sides of the page)
If you are told you don't have sufficient credentials:
- Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Manage Your Credentials --> Windows Credentials
- Choose "Add a Windows credential", Enter "t7" for network address, yourusername@thomas.edu, and your password.
- Do the instructions above again.
If you recently changed your password and printing no longer works:
- Go to Windows Search and type in 'Printers'
- The search should pull up Printers and Scanners'
- Remove the printer that you can no longer print to, usually StuLaserLib
- Now re-add the printer with the instructions above
